The movie “I Do”

Sunday morning (0ctober 3, 2010), Paivee asked me to accompany her to watch I Do for later in the afternoon, they will be going back to Laur, Nueva Ecija. Then we asked her dad and my mom if they will allow us to watch movie. They allowed us to watch movie but asked us to buy another 5 imitations of bags since when we called my aunt last night, she asked us to buy at least 10 shoulder bags and 5 body bags. We agreed then off we go to Sta. Lucia East Grand mall for it’s near in our house and the cinema costs cheaper than the Robinsons Malls.

By the time we arrived at Sta. Lucia East Grand mall, we go to movie house and bought tickets and then we bought foods to eat while watching the said movie.
The movie itself is awesome. "I Do" tackles about the controversies of following a certain tradition, early pregnancy, getting married at a young age, and finding the right person for you.

Mayumi (Erich Gonzales) is a girl with a happy disposition in life who dreams of meeting her "the one" someday. When she met Lance (Enchong Dee), a Chinese descendant, she knew he was "the one" she was waiting for, her faith and destiny. The two of them become lovers despite the unwillingness of their families to their love.

One day, an unexpected thing happened. Mayumi got pregnant and was forced to marry Lance. Although Mayumi liked it so much to become the bride of Lance, Lance on the other hand had doubts on Mayumi becoming his wife. Aside from that, their families are still not willing to marry both of them just because of a love child. Being a Chinese, Lance is obliged to marry also a girl of Chinese descendant to keep the Chinese blood tradition. Mayumi's family on the other hand felt they were betrayed because Lance promised to marry Mayumi because of their love child. Is marrying someone because of their baby worthy of saying "I do"?

What an exciting story! What a traditional kind of love.

Do watch and enjoy! Have a relaxing weekend. :]]

My 1 Day Adventure

It’s Saturday (October 2, 2010) morning, when my uncle called my mom and asked if she can accompany her to Divisoria in buying bags to be sent in Canada. Since my mom was a newly operated one (gallbladder stone) she asked me to accompany my uncle alone. I was kind of hesitant for I do not know the whole place. When we went there the last time, I am with her. I do not know the “pasikot – sikot” of that place. But my mom pleaded me for my uncle is already on their way to Cubao. They were from our province – Nueva Ecija. He’s with my cousin, her only daughter, Paivee.

It’s my opportunity to buy the things that I want alone. So I grab the opportunity and asked my mom to give me money. She gave me some. Then I went to Cubao alone. i will be waiting there for y uncle and cousin to arrived and then we will go to Divisoria.

Its 12 noon I’m waiting in the terminal of the five star buses for my uncle and cousin to arrive. They arrived at exactly 1:34 pm. I wait for them for almost 2 hours. 1 ½ hours and 4 minutes to be exact. By the time they arrived, we hurriedly went to Divisoria for we’ve got many bags to buy and I am not familiar to the said place so we have to get there as soon as possible. We rode LRT from Cubao to Recto and a jeepney fro Recto to Divisoria. When we got there, there are so any people buying and selling any cheap buys. Mostly imitations of the branded ones – the Coach, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and the like. There are also imitations of havaianas flip flops which costs only 60 – 80 pesos which when you buy it in the stall of havaianas originals will costs you 750 pesos above. I really love this place for there are so any cheap things you can buy. If you had 1, 000 pesos you can really buy a lot of things.

We bought 6 travelling bags and 4 body bags. All are imitations of the branded ones. I was wearing high heels so bought 1 imitation of havaianas. It’s really like the original ones, I was really amazed by how Pinoys imitate the originals. We are so into the cheap versions of the branded ones. We’re just being practical for we’ve got lots of work to do before we earn such money. After buying all the bags, it’s our time to eat lunch. At around 4pm we ate our lunch at Chowking’s Restaurant in Divisoria. Then off we go again to buy the things we want for ourselves.

It’s past 6 when we decided to go home. We rode jeepney again from Divisoria to Recto and LRT from Recto to Cubao, since in Cubao, there is a terminal for Cogeo fx’s. When we arrived in Cubao, we hurriedly go to the terminal and fall in line. My uncle asked me to buy donuts for my 2 siblings. We, me and y cousin Paivee bought one dozen of donuts at Dunkin Donuts for it is near in the terminal. Then we rode a van to get us in Cogeo.

It’s really a fun adventure for e, for I, myself only knows Cubao to Trinoma and S North alone. addtiotional to that, I can go to Divisoria to buy cheap things now. :DD

Kim’s Birthday

One Tuesday morning, I was quite surprised for my high school friend, Kimberly Mae Llabore texted and called me; inviting me to attend and celebrate her 18th birthday this coming Saturday. I was surprised for she had said that her super close friends are the one who’s invited. We are at the same course but with different schools. She pleaded me to come over and celebrate with her for I have told her that I had a duty on that day, I told her I would go if and only if I am not so stressed on that day then she hangs up.

Saturday came. I was not stressed that day. But I could not come for my parents do not allow me to for the party will start at around 6pm. “That’s already late and you’ve just got home from your duty at RPH,” my dad said. I texted Kim and told her I can’t come. I got no reply, just a call :)). No, not just a call from her, instead from her mom telling me and encouraging me to come. I can’t say NO for I, myself want to go. Then I pleaded my parents. They allowed me but with 2 conditions – they will drop me right in front of my friend’s house and I will not go home at our house here in Cogeo instead I should sleep over my cousin’s house in Simeona, Marikina for my friend’s house is just a jeepney away.

The celebration started. It is not that formal – no gowns and tuxedos at all but I had a lot of fun. Only 5 high school friends were invited. The rest were college friends but we got along each other smoothly. Though it’s not formal, we had 18 candles, 18 dances and so on. I am included in her 18 candles. We said our own speeches in front of her and that left her crying because for almost three years we do not forget them memories we had in the past.

It’s almost 12 in the midnight when we decided to go home. It’s really a fun night. We took a lot of pictures as a remembrance and posted it in our own facebook accounts the day after it has happened.

Premiere Night

Monday, July 2010 my friend called me and asked if I want to go to the premiere night of a certain movie. Without hesitation, I said “Yes, of course, I do want to.” Then she says, “Ok. I’ll meet you up at SM Megamall’s food court tomorrow, 5pm.” Then she hangs up. I was really excited for it was my very first time to watch a movie via premiere night. I packed my things right at that moment. And fell asleep.
Tuesday. I was very excited, I’m waiting for 5pm to arrive. At 3pm, I prepare myself for Megamall for it’s quite far from here – Antipolo. At exactly 4pm, I decided to go and leave the house. I took a ride to Cubao via fx then MRT from Cubao to Megamall. My friend is calling and said that I should walk fast to be there quickly. I found her with her other friends at the food court, sitting waiting for me to arrived. I do not expect that there will be a guy because we usually hang up with no boys allowed. Well, that’s our policy. But eventually, my friend introduce me to her other friends. I smile and say “Hi.” That’s all and we go upstairs.
As we were at the movie house, I see many people surrounding the venue. I was quite amazed for they are patiently waiting for the artists or the casts to arrive and wave to them. We’ve decided to go inside cinema 10 already for the crowd is getting bigger and bigger. My friend claimed that we have a VIP pass and thus we enter the cinema that fast. We took a good spot where we can see the artists or casts of the movie. We end up sitting right at the middle portion of the movie house. The movie started at around 9pm almost. The movie was so good though it was a horror film. I usually do not watch horror films for I was afraid that I’ll be dreaming of it when I go to sleep. I was amazed by the movie for it was so nice. It was not that so ‘nakakatakot’. At first, the casts were so nervous, I can see it in their eyes, but as I’ve said the movie went up completely nice. They were all nice good in portraying their role. And for sure the movie will click to the taste of the viewers.

Surgery Ward and my beloved lola

In my previous years in college life, I was exposed to different areas in the hospital already. And now, in my third year life I was first exposed to Surgery ward. 2 – 10 pm. I was quite frightened upon seeing my clinical instructor for I knew that he was a newly hired one. I don’t know why I was that frightened; maybe I’m just not that ready to be exposed to that area. Days passed and I enjoyed having duty at that certain ward. I was not that afraid to my C.I anymore. I learn lots of things from him that I know I would be encountering in the coming years.
But unfortunately, my grandmother died Saturday night. She had a colon cancer. One week has passed and I can’t see my grandmother’s funeral. I do not want to be absent for my Sunday duty but I have to – I have to attend the last day of my grandmother. I was quite confused for I really have to attend my duty but still I chose to be with my grandmother for her last day. I will just attend to my duty even for three days payment for my 1 absent just for the sake of my grandmother’s last day.
I miss being with her nowadays. I miss her calling my name though she’s not that good remembering it. I hope that she will guide me for the years that will be coming.
Rest in peace lola. I do not know what other words to say.
‘I love you lola. I’ll miss you for the rest of my life. I will always remember you as my dearest lola who loves everyone of us dearly. Thank you for everything you’ve done especially for my mom. When she’s always at the hospital, you’re the one taking good care of her. Thank you for giving her to me. I will always love you lola.’ Teary eyed.

Saturday Experience

It was Saturday, June 19, 2010. My mom asked me to accompany her to go to Divisoria to buy some things. I was not that busy that time so I’ve decided to go. We fetch my aunt and cousin at Mc Donald’s Gateway. Then off we go to my godmother’s condo unit at Boni Avenue to get the tenant’s payment for the said room. I really love to go there for it was a nice place. :D I want to buy or own a condo unit sometime – hopefully in the near future. The place is near Robinson’s Pioneer. After that we go to Divisoria already. We roam around the different malls and buy things. The prices were so low that’s why I bought several things for myself. It’s affordable by many than the ones in the malls. The only difference is that the things you buy there is not that branded but the prices are low so you can buy many things. And you can make “TAWAD” unlike in the malls. :)) We were all so tired but it is fulfilling for we have bought all the things that they needed.

Then after that we decided to go to Mc Donald’s Gateway again to eat dinner. As we arrived, my mom and aunt asked me to order foods that would be eaten later for they will be buying groceries at Isetann. As I was on the line, I saw this guy; he was quite handsome, fair complexion, not that tall and he was wearing a pink t – shirt that says “Love is Rare.” I don’t know why that guy catches my attention, I stare him for quite long and then I realized that I would be the one to make an order. I don’t know if he caught me looking at him. I hope not. :)) ‘cause if he does, oh no! It’s embarrassing.

I only ordered French fries, hamburger and coke float for myself for I was not that hungry. As I get back on our table, I take a look at the guy and I saw him glance at my direction. I was quite shocked so I turned my back on him and act like I saw nothing. As I was eating, I saw him glancing and staring at our direction. I asked my cousin to block his direction and sit in front of me. Then I continue eating. As I finished, my mom and aunt arrived and they bought us an ice cream. As I finished licking the ice cream, I felt the urge to urinate. I get up on my chair and went in front of the comfort room. The comfort room there is for both boys and girls so I have to fall in line. I was the first one so it means I don’t have to wait that long. Beside it, there’s a big mirror. As I was about to glance where my mom was sitting, I saw him – the guy at my back. I was shocked again for he was there less than a minute. While waiting, I’ve decided to fix my hair and face the mirror. As I was fixing my hair, he quickly gets his phone and took a shot of me. I know it was me for he quickly keep his phone in his pocket and say “Yes!” That’s so irritating. I said to him face to face “Epal ka.” Then turn my back on him…again. I heard him utter words but I don’t really understand what it was. Then I saw my aunt beside me and asked me if she can void first. Without hesitancy, I frankly said, “Sige tita, una ka na po.” I hear him say, “Naiihi na ko.” I face him and say, “Gusto mu sunod ka na sa tita ko? Sige ikaw na mauna.” He nod and say, “Hindi, sunod nalang ako sayo.” Then he smiles. He hum a song but I already forgot what song is it. As I went to the CR, I was looking at him while closing the door. He is smiling at me. I think he’s mentally retarded. I’m pissed off. “Parang nang – aasar yung ngiti, kainis.” I said to myself and shut the door closed. As I open the door, he murmur words again, but I don’t understand it. ‘Dinedma ko nalang.’ As I return to my seat, my mom was fixing the things we bought for it was to be brought in our province. Then we decided to accompany my aunt and cousin in Baliwag terminal where they will ride a bus to get in Nueva Ecija. Then we went home. As I was about to sleep, I remember the guy that I saw a while ago. I’m asking myself if I knew him already but nothing reminds me of him. Then I’ve decided to erase him on my mind and fell asleep.

In the past days, I do think of what an experience it was. I usually smile when I remember him.
